General Physiotherapy Pathway of Care

    1. Assessment ($175/60 min)

    A detailed 60 minute assessment to get to know your concerns and medical history. Followed by a thorough physiotherapy exam to identify the root cause. A home program will also be provided.

  • One-on-one shoulder rehabilitation in Revival's state-of-the-art treatment room

    2. Treatment Program ($110/30 min, $140/45 min or $170/60min)

    Based on your assessment findings, an individualized, hands-on, goal-based treatment program will be provided with 30 min follow-up sessions. To track progress, a quick re-assessment will be done before and after each session. Home exercises will be progressed and modified accordingly.

    3. Prevention / Maintenance Program

    As you transition back to certain activities, guidance will be provided on how to best prevent future injuries/flare-ups. A maintenance home program will be provided, with infrequent check-ins if deemed beneficial.

Treatment Options

    • Joints are moved through their range of motion and/or the joint capsule is stretched so as to restore normal movement and alignment

  • A rounded metal instrument will be used for targeted soft tissue. The tool allows for more targeted muscle release and alignment correction.

  • Needles are used to target the nervous system and release deep muscle trigger points

  • Taping is used to help correct alignment and posture, and to offload muscles and ligaments you may have injured.

  • Skin rolling, passive fascial stretch techniques and cupping is used in combination to stretch myofascial tissue. Common areas of fascial tension include low back, low neck, side rib cage, side/front thighs and lower abdominal region.

  • Postural exam followed by a thorough exam of how all the muscles of the body are firing. Muscle testing helps to identify and confirm alignment imbalances in your body that were present in the postural scan.

  • A thorough assessment of how you are loading through the foot during gait. Also, an assessment of any restrictions in range in the ankle, knees and hips that are limiting your ability to walk or run optimally.

  • A internationally recognized way of mechanical assessment and treatment developed in New Zealand, to treat the lumbar spine, cervical spine, and extremities through repetitive movements.
